Education and Background
Monica graduated from the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice in Houston. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Houston, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and went on to earn her law degree at South Texas College of Law. During and after law school, she worked for Harris County, gaining valuable experience in the legal field.
Experience
Monica has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2004 (State Bar of Texas Bar Card No. 24046081). In 2008, she founded Hinojosa Law Office, P.C., where she focuses on family law — helping clients with divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, protective orders, guardianship, and modifications.

Monica is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, the Houston Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Mexican Bar Association. She is also involved with the University of Houston and South Texas College of Law alumni communities.
Community Involvement
Outside of her practice, Monica is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers as a Coog Mom, supporting the University of Houston community, and dedicates her time to the Houston Food Bank. A proud Houstonian, she enjoys cheering on the city’s sports teams and spending time with her son.
